L’élimination des taches ou des gravures sur les plans de travail ne doit être effectuée qu’en cas de nécessité. Bien que le marbre soit dense, solide et dur, il est également poreux car il est composé de carbonate de calcium. Il faut veiller à ne pas endommager le marbre en le nettoyant plus en profondeur et éviter d’utiliser des produits acides sur le marbre, car ceux-ci peuvent l’éroder.
